Holly discovered her passion for massage after experiencing the extreme relief of stress, tension and pain that massage brought her in her years attending college. In school she studied fitness and earned her associates of applied science degree in fitness training. At the same time, Holly found yoga and fell in love, beginning her journey towards attaining her 200RYT. Her daily yoga and meditation practice, combined with receiving monthly massage left Holly more able to access feelings of self-love, joy, and bliss. This was truly life changing and lead to many positive changes in her life. Inspired to share this with others, she began to offer yoga and fitness classes to her community while attending a massage program at East West College of the Healing Arts in Portland, Oregon. Holly is thrilled to be offering massage here at Simply Yoga in the hopes of helping others to achieve their perfect health so they can create love, joy, and bliss in their own lives and beyond.

Implementing a variety of techniques and modalities to help her clients feel their best!
Holly enjoys using her training and massage skills to serve people presenting with:
Each massage is customized to fit the client and techniques used may be selected from multiple modalities. If you are particularly interested in experiencing a certain modality you may request the specific use of that modality. All of Holly’s massages are performed using a massage table. Listed below are more details of the modalities she pulls from.
Deep Tissue- During a deep tissue massage the client presents with 1-3 focus areas which the practitioner then addresses using a wide range of massage techniques. Holly uses a slow pace and meets the force of the tissue with her pressure, allowing the tissue to relax and release on its own time.
Swedish- With light pressure and slow, smooth, gliding strokes this massage is for anyone who needs to unwind and relax. The main intention of this massage is stress reduction, increased circulation, pain management, digestive support, as well as reducing fatigue, depression and anxiety. A great choice for a regular tune up, or an occasional treat!
Chinese Massage/Tui Na- This style of massage uses lots of rocking, vibration, and joint manipulation and is a little faster paced but just as deeply relaxing as the other styles. Acupressure, Gua Sha, and cupping might also be used during this treatment. Typically this style of massage is performed fully clothed.
Craniosacral- Craniosacral refers to the practitioner’s focus on the spinal column, the cranial bones, and the bones of the sacrum. It is also typically performed fully clothed and uses very gentle techniques, held for a few minutes, to allow the body to unwind and move back into alignment. It is very much like a meditation where both practitioner and client are quiet, listening to the body together and allowing the body to release at its own pace.
