Thai massage is done fully clothed on a mat. Kristi typically uses hot herbal compresses to warm the muscles, adds in compression strokes and follows that up with stretching, strengthening, and/or a pin and stretch movement.
The client gets to relax, while she brings greater movement into the body. Individuals that usually benefit the most from Thai massage are those with specific injuries, chronic pain, those preparing for an event, such as: a marathon, tournament, ect., or those that prefer to receive a massage fully clothed.
Kristi also offers Sarga Bodywork. This is an amazing barefoot massage, meaning she uses her feet to give the whole massage. Kristi notes "The foot is an amazing tool because it it offers a broader surface than the elbow, hand or forearm used in table massage. Because the pressure is coming from body weight instead of force, this bodywork is very grounding and relaxing."
Sarga Bodywork also brings in the facial dragging similar to Rolfing or Structural bodywork. Fascia is considered the matrix of the body, when we offer change to one area it effects the whole body, leaving you with more mobility throughout the body.
Kristi brings Yoga and Massage together by offering breath work, verbal relaxation, movement and take home yoga poses to each appointment. Each client is treated uniquely and each session is customized for their body.
Kristi has helped individuals with chronic
and acute pain to all areas of the body.
Specifically: neck pain, rotator cuff injuries, sciatica, whiplash, low back pain, pelvic pain, plantar fasciitis, PTSD, high anxiety, digestive issues, chronic muscle tension, and shoulder pain. She works with individuals suffering or unwinding from trauma and has worked with many recovering from car accidents.
