C-IAYT (certified Yoga Therapist)
E-RYT 500
300 Hour Ayurvedic Health Consultant

Testimonials:
“Having had the opportunity to work with her both with patients in my own medical practice as well as with personal health care issues (inguinal hernia repair and knee injury), Cathy Holdsworth embodies the very best that Yoga Therapy has to offer. She has an excellent working knowledge of human anatomy and the principals and practice of Yoga Therapy. She clearly understands the need of blending Yoga Therapy with traditional Western medicine when appropriate and even been in the operating room with a client who she guided both pre-operative and post-surgical care. Above all, she is a truly pleasant and caring individual who takes the time to connect with her clients on an individual basis. I cannot recommend her highly enough and will not hesitated to refer my patients (or myself) to her for Yoga Therapy.”

Cathy is a certified Yoga Therapist as well as an Ayurvedic Consultant who enjoys working with people one-on-one to help them with their physical, mental and emotional needs. While working with clients, Cathy recognizes individuality and prescribes the best use of  yoga for that particular person depending on their focus . She creates a personalized yoga and/or Ayurvedic plan for her clients, addressing their unique needs. One person’s yoga therapy session will not look exactly like someone else’s, even if they are both working on the same issue. Cathy has worked with people for many different reasons, like:
Osteoporosis, Fibromyalgia, Arthritis, Depression, PTSD, herniated disk, torn rotator cuff, recovery from surgery, anxiety, knee (and other joint) issues, chronic pain, sports performance, and/or to simply find balance in their lives.

Below are a couple of ways that people have described yoga therapy:
  • Any yogic technique used to systematically address physical injury or pain, or mental and emotional stress or trauma can be considered Yoga Therapy
Yoga Journal
  • The use of the techniques of Yoga to create, stimulate, and maintain an optimum state of physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual health.
